How Does The Treatment Work?
Firstly, a photo documentation of the area will be carried out, with relaxed and activated facial muscles. Then at predetermined points botulinum toxin A is injected using a small syringe. The treatment takes only a few minutes. An anesthetic is not necessary.
After The Treatment
Directly after the treatment, you will be given a cooling pack to help minimise any swelling and bruising. The body should be kept in an upright position for at least three to four hours. Depending on the application, for about four hours, you should avoid any strenuous physical activity or lay down to prevent any accidental redistribution of the injected botox. Also on the day of application of the treatment, sports or any other form of activity which would produce an increase in blood flow to the skin must not be undertaken. This also includes massage or saunas.
