Aesthetic Dentistry / Bleaching (Whitening)
There are several factors which affect tooth colouration. These can be natural (e.g. first growth or as a result of tooth aging), or may result from pathological causes, (e.g. exposure to antibiotics during the tooth development phase). Similarly, tea, coffee, wine and tobacco consumption negatively affect your teeth’s brightness. Bleaching, which means the brightening of the to enamel and the dentine, is done with the help of special preparations based on carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide. However, before bleaching is performed, a detailed examination and recording of oral health is needed to ascertain and rule out untreated tooth disease such as cavities, irregularities needing prosthetic treatment, gum disease and enamel defects. A thorough teeth cleaning by a dentist needs to be carried out before a bleaching session, in order to remove surface stains and maximise the bleaching preparations effectiveness. Fillings and crowns retain their colour, so after bleaching, these need to be corrected for aesthetic reasons.
Aesthetic Dentistry / Plastic Fillings
Strong and unnoticeable, even to professionals
We offer modern ‘composite’ plastic fillings which consist of a mixture of plastic and ceramic materials. These fillings are produced using the latest stratification technology. They also have the advantage of protecting the remaining healthy part of the tooth. When these fillings are skilfully performed, even dental professionals have difficulty to notice a difference. This technology can be used to deal with deformaties such as turned teeth, small teeth (‘mouse teeth’), gaps or crooked or anatomically malformed teeth and they regain an aesthetically optimal shape.
Aesthetic Dentistry / Inlays – Part Crowns
Indistinguishable from natural teeth
Ceramic inlays and crowns are an ideal treatment method for major tooth defects or to replace large parts of teeth. They provide a durable and aesthetically pleasing result. By using a suitable preparation, the healthy part of the tooth can be retained, while the ceramic inlay/part crown, attached with a dental adhesive, also provides stability.
Aesthetic Dentistry / Veneers
Thin Ceramic Shells (Veneers):
Teeth can be so strongly discoloured that bleaching alone may not be enough. In this case, thin ceramic veneers, made from high performance material, can be adhered to the front of the teeth. The outer surface of the tooth is very slightly abraded in order to adhere the veneer using a ceramic glue. This method can also be used to correct irregularities of tooth shape or position. This procedure can be applied to an individual tooth or all the teeth as you so request. Once adhered to the tooth surface, the veneers are long lasting and our dental practice offers a guarantee of the materials for five years.

Aesthetic Dentistry / Orthodontics
Also commonly used by adults
Lesser defects can be quickly and gently corrected by using veneers or plastic rebuilding materials. However, cases of severe defects need orthodontic correction. Tooth repositioning is a solution, also commonly used by adults. Although this treatment is often more time consuming, it is better than risking losing healthy teeth.
Adults who choose orthodontic treatment, are often amazed at how those around them accept their wearing of braces. An alternative to metal braces can be found in braces being attached to the backs of the teeth, making them ‘invisible’, or by using ceramic or plastic braces which are less obvious.
Aesthetic Diagnoses – The First Step to Your Smile
Many elements combine to create our facial expression. Our face, mouth, lips, musculature and not least our teeth, all play a role which expresses our personality as soon as we speak or smile. That gaps and misshapen teeth can disfigure a person, is something that is commonly understood. Our goal is to give you teeth that allow your personality so shine through. A harmonious facial expression can be disrupted by even minor irregularities of the teeth’s parabolic arrangement. This can be e.g. deformities, discolouration, old fillings/crowns, large gaps or irregular gums. Working in collaboration with recognised dental technicians, we aim to examine and assess these problems and restore harmony to your facial expression. There is nothing more attractive and appealing than an unselfconscious natural smile!
